Cholesterol is an essential constituent of every cell in the body, as well as being an important ingredient in the manufacture our hormones. An important factor in cardiovascular health is the ratio of 'good' (HDL) cholesterol to 'bad' (LDL) cholesterol. Policosanol (a naturally occurring constituent of sugar cane) has been reported in the scientific literature to improve 'good' and ‘bad’ cholesterol ratios, as well as improving total cholesterol levels. Policosanol has also been reported to improve cardiovascular function by decreasing the oxidation of fats, and reducing the disposition of the blood to clot.

Dosage: 1-2 capsules twice daily or as recommended by a health care professional.

Ingredients: Each Capsules Contains:
Policosanol: 5 mg
Other ingredients: hypromellose (derived from cellulose) capsule.
May contain one or more of the following hypoallergenic ingredients to fill space: magnesium citrate, leucine, silicon dioxide

Note: To provide support during an acute attack of hemorrhoids or varicose veins take 2 capsules 3 times daily.

Contraindications: A woman who is pregnant or nursing, or who might become pregnant, should consult a health-care practitioner before using this product. Supplementation with Policosanol in conjunction with a prescriptison blood-thinning medication is not recommended.
